LS Renovation
University City, Missouri
The client requested that the house, built as a spec project by a developer and never occupied, be completely renovated to better accommodate the client’s lifestyle, art and furnishings. The interior was organized around an existing central atrium open to the sky that had its shape simplified and finished as a Japanese garden. In the rest of the house, walls were removed selectively, openings were enlarged wherever possible, and windows were added to improve the flow of the spaces and the quantities of natural light.
